Fish&Chicks Events
Jeg startede konceptet i 2024, da jeg efter mine næsten 15 år med en fiskestang i hånden ikke mødte mange kvinder på min vej rundt i verden ved elve og kyster. Dog flere i udlandet end i Danmark, men jeg har hele tiden tænkt, at I var derude, men det handlede om at skabe en ramme, man kunne se sig selv i. Fish&Chicks er skabt ud fra en drøm om mere fællesskab, at dele min passion i et trygt rum og pille nogle af de stereotype fordomme ud af fiskeri og vise hvor meget det kan at komme i kontakt med naturen, lære at læse vand og lave åpleje, spise god mad kun tilberedt med lokale råvarer og lære noget nyt - uanset alder. Holdene er på 8-10 mennesker og alle er inviteret. Jeg har nu udvidet til også at lave Fish&chicks abroad i både Island, England og Italien og i 2027 også Argentina! På weekenderne i Danmark er det begynderhold og jeg sørger for alt fiskegrej og tipitelte, her skal du blot medbringe sovepose, liggeunderlag, gummistøvler og solbriller.

I have felt safe and have spent a whole weekend surrounded by nice people in a new community. I have really gotten into gear, I have learned something new and have even been spoiled with delicious food and company - in the middle of the most beautiful nature.

I started the concept in 2024, when after almost 15 years with a fishing rod in hand, I didn't meet many women on my way around the world by rivers and coasts. More abroad than in Denmark, though, but I've always thought that you were out there, but it was about creating a framework in which you could see yourself.
Fish&Chicks was created from a dream of more community, to share my passion in a safe space and to remove some of the stereotypical prejudices about fishing and show how much it can be to get in touch with nature, learn to read water and do river care, eat good food prepared only with local ingredients and learn something new - regardless of age. The teams are 8-10 people and everyone is invited. I have now expanded to also do Fish&chicks abroad in both Iceland, England and Italy and in 2027 also Argentina! On the weekends in Denmark it is a beginner team and I provide all fishing gear and tipi tents, here you just need to bring a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, rubber boots and sunglasses.

Throw yourself into it!
Join me for the first online introductory course in fishing. The evening will start with a mini lecture with me, where you will gain insight into my journey with fishing and how it has enriched my life.
Then we will go through 5 basic steps to get out the door and down to the water.

Fish&chicks Festival'26
Fish&Chicks Festival was created with the ambition to get more women to discover what fishing can do. It is much more than catching: it is community, food over a campfire, fly tying, gathering trips, and the feeling of peace when you wake up in a tent to birdsong and the scents of early nature. The festival is a free space where we learn, explore, laugh – and get closer to both the water, nature and ourselves.
I repeat the success of Fish&Chicks Festival 2026! Last year was a dream come true and I know it will be at least as good this year.
