Fish&Chicks – More Than Just Fishing

Fish&Chicks was born from a dream of bringing more women together, sharing my passion for fishing in a safe and welcoming space, and challenging some of the stereotypes surrounding the sport.

It's about so much more than catching fish. Reading the water, learning about river conservation, cooking over an open fire with local ingredients, connecting with nature and sharing new experiences – regardless of age or background.

I started Fish&Chicks in 2024, after almost 15 years of traveling the world with a fishing rod in hand and meeting surprisingly few women along the way. I always knew you were out there. We just needed a place to come together.

The intimate weekends welcome 8 women, with plenty of room to learn, ask questions and enjoy life by the water. And there's no such thing as being too much of a beginner!

Set in the beautiful Skjern River valley in western Denmark, home to one of the country's most iconic Atlantic salmon rivers. Once heavily altered by human activity, the river has been restored and given a second chance to thrive, along with the wildlife that depends on it.

Our weekends in Denmark are designed for beginners, and I provide all fishing gear and tipi tents. You just need to bring a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, rubber boots/waders and sunglasses. Are going to be fishing, casting, asking questions, eating hearty meals around the fire and doing river management with Denmarks Center for Wild salmon (This part has been a highlight for many!)
